What does speech pathology do for kids?

Speech pathology helps children develop the communication skills they need to connect with others and express themselves confidently. Our Speech Pathologists support kids with speech, language, social communication, fluency (such as stuttering), and even feeding or swallowing difficulties. Through fun, personalised sessions, we help children build their ability to speak clearly, understand others, and participate fully at home, school, and in social settings.

Why would a child need a speech pathologist?

A child might benefit from seeing a Speech Pathologist if they:

  • Are late to start talking or have a limited vocabulary for their age

  • Struggle to pronounce words clearly or are hard to understand

  • Have difficulty understanding instructions or expressing their needs

  • Stutter or get stuck on words and sounds

  • Avoid talking or get frustrated when trying to communicate

  • Have trouble with social skills like taking turns in conversation

  • Experience feeding or swallowing challenges

Our team takes a warm, neuroaffirming approach that celebrates each child’s unique strengths while supporting their communication goals in a way that’s fun, empowering, and tailored to them.
