Our physiotherapists help children develop the physical skills needed for movement, play and daily life. Therapy focuses on strength, balance, coordination and recovery from injury or developmental challenges.
Our physiotherapy combines evidence informed techniques with engaging activities that help children build strength, movement skills and confidence in a supportive environment.
Sessions include fun physical activities such as obstacle courses, games and movement challenges that encourage children to practise strength, balance and coordination in an enjoyable and motivating way.
Each child receives a personalised physiotherapy plan based on their specific physical needs, developmental stage and goals to support safe and effective improvement in movement.
Parents and carers are supported with practical exercises and strategies that can be continued at home to encourage progress between therapy sessions.
Physiotherapy supports stronger movement skills, greater confidence and improved participation in everyday activities.
Children develop improved muscle strength and control which supports walking, running, jumping and climbing with greater ease and stability.
These improvements help children feel more comfortable participating in physical play, school activities and sports alongside their peers.
Therapy helps children improve balance, body awareness and coordination which are important for activities such as climbing, ball skills and playground play.
With stronger coordination skills, children often feel more confident trying new physical activities and engaging in group play with friends.
Children develop stronger core muscles and improved posture which supports healthy sitting, standing and movement throughout the day.
Better posture can reduce discomfort and fatigue while also supporting focus and participation during school and learning activities.
Physiotherapy supports children recovering from injury or surgery by gradually rebuilding strength, flexibility and mobility through safe and guided exercises.
This helps children return to sport, play and everyday activities with greater confidence while reducing the risk of further injury.

Yes. Physiotherapy supports recovery from sports injuries by improving strength, flexibility and movement patterns to help children safely return to physical activity.
Children can begin physiotherapy from infancy through to adolescence. Early support can help address movement challenges and support healthy development.
The duration of therapy varies depending on each child’s needs, goals and progress. Some children benefit from short term support while others require longer guidance.

My dream is to help children develop their movement skills, build self-confidence in their physical abilities and in doing these two steps, support their participation in play, exploration, sport and whatever activities motivate them. The ultimate reward of my job is the moment I see a child (and their parents!) realise that they can do more than they ever thought possible. Movement opens up life’s doors to a child and their family for the long term. ”

“My dream is that every child who comes to Kids Club for physio will get to say that they’ve had at least one positive experience with movement/physical activity. Developing movement skills is often key to supporting physical, mental and social wellbeing. I really do think even one positive experience can go a long way in terms of self-confidence, self-esteem, and willingness to try new things.”
Sandeep has been a physiotherapist since 2021. He has worked with children with developmental concerns, musculoskeletal and sporting injuries, respiratory/lung issues, and in rehab pre/post-surgery.
Sandeep thinks physiotherapy works best when he actively listens to your child. They are the expert of how they feel and what motivates them. By learning about these things, he hopes to create non-threatening opportunities for them to try slightly tricky tasks, and build handy new skills.
If you know any great local eateries, he will gratefully take recommendations. Discuss your pets to make him jealous (his dog lives in Queensland).
