Our speech pathologists work with children to develop communication skills that support learning, relationships and confidence. Therapy focuses on things such as speech clarity, language understanding and meaningful interaction with others.
Our therapy combines evidence informed based strategies with engaging activities to help children build communication skills in a supportive and fun environment.
Therapy sessions use games, stories and interactive activities that motivate children to participate while practising communication skills in natural and enjoyable ways.
Each child receives a personalised therapy plan designed around their strengths, challenges and goals to ensure meaningful progress in communication and language development.
Parents and carers are involved throughout the therapy journey so strategies used in sessions can also support communication development at home and in everyday situations.
Speech pathology supports meaningful improvements in communication, learning and everyday confidence.
Children develop improved speech sound production which helps others understand them more easily. As speech clarity improves, communication becomes less frustrating and more enjoyable.
This increased clarity allows children to participate more confidently in conversations with family, teachers and friends while expressing their ideas and needs more effectively.
Therapy supports vocabulary expansion, sentence development and stronger understanding of spoken language. Children learn how to use language more effectively to communicate their thoughts.
With improved language skills, children are better able to follow instructions, participate in classroom activities and engage in meaningful conversations with others.
Children develop skills for interacting with others including taking turns in conversation, understanding social cues and expressing ideas in social situations.
These skills help children build friendships, feel more comfortable in group settings and participate more confidently in school and community environments.
Speech pathology helps children develop the language foundations needed for reading, writing and spelling success.
Improved literacy abilities can also support communication, academic progress and overall confidence at school and in everyday life.

If your child has difficulty speaking clearly, understanding instructions, using language or communicating with others, speech pathology can help assess their needs and provide targeted support.
Children can begin speech pathology from an early age. Early support can be very beneficial when delays in speech or language development are identified.
Sessions usually involve play based activities, games and conversation tasks designed to practise specific communication skills in a fun and engaging way.
The length of therapy depends on each child’s needs and goals. Some children benefit from short term support while others may require ongoing therapy.
Yes. Parents and carers are encouraged to participate in sessions and learn strategies that help support communication development at home.

My dream is to help children develop their movement skills, build self-confidence in their physical abilities and in doing these two steps, support their participation in play, exploration, sport and whatever activities motivate them. The ultimate reward of my job is the moment I see a child (and their parents!) realise that they can do more than they ever thought possible. Movement opens up life’s doors to a child and their family for the long term. ”

“My dream is that every child who comes to Kids Club for physio will get to say that they’ve had at least one positive experience with movement/physical activity. Developing movement skills is often key to supporting physical, mental and social wellbeing. I really do think even one positive experience can go a long way in terms of self-confidence, self-esteem, and willingness to try new things.”
Sandeep has been a physiotherapist since 2021. He has worked with children with developmental concerns, musculoskeletal and sporting injuries, respiratory/lung issues, and in rehab pre/post-surgery.
Sandeep thinks physiotherapy works best when he actively listens to your child. They are the expert of how they feel and what motivates them. By learning about these things, he hopes to create non-threatening opportunities for them to try slightly tricky tasks, and build handy new skills.
If you know any great local eateries, he will gratefully take recommendations. Discuss your pets to make him jealous (his dog lives in Queensland).
